First and foremost, it’s important to note that Dyson Sphere Program does not include built-in cheat codes or a console accessible to players. While there was previously a method to activate a console for entering cheat codes, this feature is not available at this time.
However, there are various third-party trainers available that allow players to cheat in the game. It’s worth mentioning that some of the trainers even require payment, but we won’t list those.
Dyson Sphere Program Trainer [r2modman / cheatenabler]
To enhance your gameplay experience with cheats, installing this trainer app will require some effort, but rest assured, it is effective, though currently only to a certain extent. In my testing, I found that some of the options did not produce the desired effect in the game. However, its other cheats did. If this level of awkward functionality meets your needs, you’re invited to follow the step-by-step guide I’ve outlined below:
- Download & install the R2ModMan Mod Manager
- Launch R2ModMan app and create your user profile
- Go to “Settings” in the sidebar and make sure your “Dyson Sphere game directory” is set to its appropriate location. I’ve had to do this step as the app didn’t catch my actual game location by itself.
- Go to “Online” tab in the app sidebar and look for “CheatEnabler” and download it
- Launch Dyson Sphere Program via Steam, and then close the game – which then finishes the installation.
- Go back to the app and this time launch the game via the app itself with “Start modded” tab in the sidebar. Launching the game via Steam again would just launch the unmodded version of DSP.
- A possible step here is to launch the modded game and then close & restart it. If there’s issues, do that.
- Play the game by launching it modded via the app and use the new interface that’s available in the game menu, and/or from the in-game icon that’s in the lower left corner next to the minimap.
Dyson Sphere Program Trainer [r2modman / DSPCheats]
DSPCheats didn’t work in my latest test of this trainer. It might be pending an update, but currently hence it doesn’t work. It just didn’t do anything to the game, even if I manually changed its config in r2modman app.
